- The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) was instrumental in establishing EMS Week when President Gerald Ford declared November 3 – 10, 1974 as the first "National Emergency Medical Services Week." - On Wednesday April 10th, 2013 Jeanes Hospital was presented with their Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus Stroke Award! Jeanes has been in compliance with the performance achievement measures at 85% or higher for 2 consecutive years! - Carole Farley EMT/Dispatcher and Gail McDonald EMT both mark service milestones in April 2013 with Burholme EMS Carole who has been with our agency since 1988 marks a quarter century of service.
